Adia CareNet - (Founder, President)

An Internet Application Service for Managed Healthcare Communications

Adia Information Management Corp was founded by Steven Heintz in 1997 while an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan. Pioneering the "software as a subscription service" model, Adia built out a dedicated datacenter infrastructure to host applications for public and private sector clients.

Adia CareNet was designed as a full service, ASP subscription based strategy for managed care communication and transaction processing.

The CareNet system facilitated communication between "gatekeepers" of authorizations, remote medical offices where patient care was performed, the payer, and oversight / accreditation agencies.

The CareNet business unit was acquired by Netsmart Technologies of Islip, NY in June 2003 (NASDAQ: NTST). At the time of the acquisition, Adia's CareNet system, linked over 95% of the mental health and public health agencies in the state. (nearly 600 facilities)
